ICG OVERVIEW
The Inspiring Culinary Generations (ICG) Cookery Competition is a national competition designed to acknowledge & encourage excellence in the catering industry and in the home.
This event reaches out to all young catering students & keen home cooks of any age who have a passion for cooking.
Established in 2012, the competition quickly assumed a prominent position, attracting the attention of a prestigious group of sponsors and partners. This interest has grown year on year and we are delighted to host two annual calendar events as part of ICG, in association with our headline sponsors Teflon™ Nonstick Coatings – Chemours, gold sponsors BIIAB, and many more key supporters.
Open to students anywhere in the UK, our Aspiring Student Chefs (ASC) competition works to inspire the younger generation to view the culinary industry as a prospective career, and assist them in making it happen! For the winner of the 16-18 category, the reward is a potentially life-changing opportunity to receive a three-year Specialised Chefs Scholarship, training to become a fully qualified chef, supported by the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts and The Bournemouth & Poole College.
The Keen Home Cooks (KHC) competition is also open to anyone in the UK, offering the winner a chance to take away some truly great prizes. It inspires people of all ages to get into the kitchen, showcase their passion for cooking, and compete against other like-minded individuals.
